 Buddha in Dhyāna Mudra (Meditation Gesture)

• Meaning: This mudra symbolizes a state of deep meditation, profound concentration, and the attainment of spiritual perfection and enlightenment.
• Significance: The posture represents the time when Siddhartha Gautama (the historical Buddha) was meditating under the Bodhi tree just before his enlightenment.
• Appearance: The hands rest in the lap, often with the right hand placed over the left, and the palms facing upwards. Sometimes the tips of the thumbs touch, forming a mystic triangle, which can symbolize the Three Jewels of Buddhism (Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha).
